IIC Keck Award Nominations Now Open

Dear colleagues,

We’re writing to share some news we hope you’ll help us pass along to your members and networks.

Nominations for the IIC 2026 Keck Award are now open, and we’d be very grateful if you could share this with your community, whether through your newsletter, website, social channels, or a direct note to members who might be interested.

The Keck Award, granted every two years since 1994, recognises projects that help the public appreciate and understand the art and science of conservation. We particularly welcome:

– Work that extends public understanding of the conservation of artistic and historic works

– Projects that reach diverse and underrepresented audiences

– Initiatives that increase social impact and inspire creative engagement

– Both small, well-conceived projects and those from larger institutions

– Virtual, in-person, or hybrid projects

The prize: A certificate of recognition and £2,500 to support future work, presented online at the IIC Ghent Congress 2026 (8 to 11 September 2026). IIC will also promote the winning project across our website and social media.

How to apply or nominate: Send a nomination (your own work or someone else’s) to iic@iiconservation.org by Friday, 19 June 2026, 5 pm BST. Initially, all that’s needed is 500 words, a couple of images, and links to a website or film where available. Full details are here: 2026 Keck Award Call for Nominations.

A social media image is attached, which you’re welcome to use in any newsletter or post. If you’d like a different format or size, just let us know.

Thank you so much for helping us reach the most imaginative and influential projects for this year’s Award.

With warm wishes,

The IIC Team
