Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my pleasure to invite you to the Pisa 2026 Symposium, hosted at the historic Opera della Primaziale Pisana.

Date: October 6, 2026
Time: 9:00-17:00 CET (Central European Time)
Format: Hybrid (in person and online)

This landmark event marks the culmination of the four-year Horizon Europe MOXY Project, presenting its final research outcomes alongside contributions from sister projects GoGreen and GreenArt, which together form the Green Cluster for Science and Conservation Research. The program is designed for conservators, offering insight into cutting-edge research and the practical innovations shaping the future of cultural heritage conservation.

We are honored to welcome two distinguished keynote speakers:

  • Dr. Stefan Michalski, Independent Heritage Conservation Scientist and former Senior Conservation Scientist at the Canadian Conservation Institute
  • Prof. Dr. Jørgen Wadum, Wadum Art Technological Studies, formerly of the University of Amsterdam

Together, they will offer a compelling discussion of the driving forces and philosophical foundations shaping our field.
