It is with great pleasure that I share with you the announcement of a 1-day workshop on Japanese papers and tools for conservation, on 27 May, at the Atelier Gebouw in Amsterdam.
This workshop is open to conservators and conservation students from any specialty, who would like to learn more about Japanese papers and tools. For this day, Takao and Shinobu Moriki will be coming from Tokyo, where they run the Moriki Paper company. This company represents a group of papermakers in Japan (hand- and machine-made) who would like to share their knowledge about paper making and helping conservators outside Japan to choose the right materials for the conservation needs. The workshop will be scheduled around talks and one practical session.
